Everton signing this struggling La Liga star would strengthen a key position for Marco Silva

Everton opinion: Should Silva sign Barcelona’s Malcom?

Everton have been linked with Barcelona’s disgruntled winger Malcom, according to reports Liverpool Echo. The Brazilian has had a torrid time at the Nou Camp, barely featuring since signing for the club.

The Toffees are trying to make waves in Europe and will have to continue improving themselves to make that a reality.  The Toffees have a big summer to look towards. After making a bright start to the season, they had a torrid run of games that saw them in the bottom half of the table.

Everton have a real need for goalscorers, with Gylfi Siggurdson and Richarlison taking the burden despite not being centre-forwards or natural goalscorers.

Theo Walcott has been playing games on the right wing but the former Arsenal man has struggled to make it his own and should merely serve as a squad player and not a starter.

The other big problem has been goals from central positions. Cenk Tosun only managed 2 goals and Dominic Calvert-Lewin has replaced him admirably but scored only 6 goals himself.

Everton have a massive summer to look towards. After making a bright start to the season with a new manager and new players, they had a torrid run of games that saw them in the bottom half of the table. Eventually though, they finished 8th in the table but that’s not what they should aim at.

Malcom joined Barcelona after catching the eye of everyone in Europe with his talismanic performances for Bordeaux.

Conclusion

Marco Silva has improved the careers of some of the best upcoming players in the league like Andrew Robertson, Richarlison and Harry Maguire, so there’s no one better to learn from.

This would be a good move in a problem position for the Toffees and would benefit all parties.
