Three Players That Have Benefited From The International Break Including This Manchester United And Tottenham Stars

The International break often represents an unwanted break from Premier League football for most fans in England. But for some players who either lack game time, or quality in their performances, it is a time where they can join their national teams and regain a bit of confidence.

We look at three players who are currently struggling in the Premier League but produced great performances in the first round of International fixtures during this break and will be hoping that they can take that form with them back into club football.

Daniel Sturridge

The Liverpool and England striker has often struggled for a place in the starting line-up for Liverpool. It is obvious by now that Jurgen Klopp favours the hard work and fluidity that Roberto Firmino provides the Liverpool front line. It has been said that Sturridge doesn’t possess the work rate required by the Liverpool manager.

He is yet to score in the Premier League this season, and despite 4 goals in two League Cup games, he has really struggled to get going.

But against Scotland on Friday night, he looked like a man playing with confidence and scored a fantastic header from a Kyle Walker’s cross. For England, he plays like a man that knows the manager believes in him, and will no doubt be enjoying his time away on International duty.
