Three Reasons Why Giroud Will Become An Arsenal Legend

It is no secret that Arsene Wenger eagerly wants a striker in the transfer window and justifiably so. They have never been able to fill the vacancy created by Robin Van Persie and for this reason they have also suffered many a times. Wenger is determined to mend this state of affairs and sign a high profile striker as soon as the transfer window opens. But when the name of the team is Arsenal, one always needs to be skeptical about the business they will ultimately conduct in the transfer window.

Already reports are pouring in that Higuain have agreed to make a transfer to Juventus and Fiorentina have not held any talks with the London club regarding the deal of Jovetic. Benteke has also not expressed any remarkable desire to join Wenger’s team and under this condition the Gunners may again end up not adding any enforcements to the team.

Thus we look at the worst state that may happen to Arsenal, which is to play with the current striker Oliver Giroud, who has had a mixed season so far. But opting for Giroud may not be such a bad step after all and we try to explain here why we confidently make such a remark.

Give Giroud More Time!

Decent season

It is a general perception that when a player is brought from the Ligue 1, he takes a bit more time to settle down in the Premier League. Robert Pires is a classic example of this fact for he was unimpressive in the first season but from the second season he went to be one of the club legends. Giroud has already scored 11 goals from 24 starts in the first season and that may just pave the way for a brighter future.

Age factor

Oliver Giroud is only 26 years of age and thus he may have still time to improve. He is yet to reach the purple patch of his career and therefore may be allowed a bit more time to develop his credentials, before he is discarded off.

Physicality

The one factor that is vital for any Premier League striker is the physical aspect of the game. It is the most brutal league of the world and not without a reason. Giroud is already blessed with this physical attributes and this may take him further in the following seasons.
