Top 3 Strikers To keep An Eye Out For Next Season Including Manchester United And Liverpool Targets

The Premier League is one of the toughest leagues in the world; there are no two ways about that. Players have to give more than 100% in all the games they play and always look to perform at their best to ensure their teams have a chance of winning the game and much more. Strikers play a huge role in what is called the most exciting league in the world and the burden of goal scoring falls on their shoulders.

While everyone talks about the likes of Sergio Aguero, Wayne Rooney and Robin Van Persie when it comes to goal scoring, there have been quite a few stars this season which concluded. Some youngsters have taken the league by storm not only by their performances but by their goal scoring prowess and we look at 3 strikers who did really well this season and hopefully will continue doing so well in the coming season as well.

Charlie Austin

The 25-year-old might have faced relegation with his QPR team but that was almost a certainty after the start the club faced. The English striker nevertheless took up the challenge of the tougher Premier League with open arms as he scored 18 goals in 36 games which is a great record for someone playing their first season in the Premier League. He will be moving to another Premier League club next season for sure and it will be worth watching how he does when he plays for a better team next season.

Christian Benteke

Christian Benteke

11 goals in 9 games since Tim Sherwood took over; Benteke had found a new lease on life as he scored freely for Aston Villa and powered them not only to safety but also to the FA Cup final where they face Arsenal. Everyone thought his career might be over when he picked up that ACL injury before the World Cup but Benteke has shown that he isn’t just a flash in the pan and now seems set for a move away from Aston Villa to a bigger club. With better players around him hopefully next season, he could end up scoring a lot more goals than the 15 he scored this injury plagued season.

Harry Kane

Harry Kane - Tottenham

The star of the English strikers at least, Harry Kane took the Premier League world by storm by scoring goals left-right and centre for Tottenham this season. The 21-year-old even displaced veterans like Soldado and Adebayor from the team and even made his international debut for England in between all this. The dream season might still follow for him since he could be off with the England U21 team for the Euro Championships and next season he could score more than the 31, yes, 31 goals he scored for Spurs this season.
