Top 4 Value For Money Signings In The PL This Summer

The summer transfer window closed 10 days ago and clubs from around England are now trying to use their new signings to get positive results and improve their performances from last season. Clubs in the Premier League have spent record amounts on summer recruits yet again but not every player brought has been able to cement his place at the new club.

While some teams over-paid for their top transfer targets, some got deals done at ridiculously low prices, especially in a transfer market as inflated as the recent one. So which clubs got decent deals this summer? Here are four players who could prove to be full value for the money spent on them before the deadline day:

Mohamed Salah (Liverpool) – £34.3m

The Egyptian winger joined Liverpool after the Reds spent more than half a month negotiating his price with Italian side AS Roma. He was one of the most effective players in Serie A last season and already, he has scored in each of the league games he has played for Liverpool this season, barring the Manchester City game yesterday. He could potentially be the most expensive player for Liverpool but even then, at just over £30m, he is already looking like an absolute steal, solving impending problems at Anfield.

Bruno Martins Indi (Stoke City) – £7m

The Dutch defender could not realise his potential in Portugal and was sent out on loan last season to England. He seems to have impressed enough to earn a permanent move to the BET365 and though he may not be the best in the business, he is more than just a decent acquisition at £7m. At just 25, he is still establishing himself at the highest level and could turn into a sensational coup for the Potters in the years to come.

Fernando Llorente (Tottenham Hotspur) – £12.1m

A deadline day signings by Spurs, Llorente was wanted by league Champions Chelsea but Mauricio Pochettino was desperate and managed to land him at just around £12m. Yes! £12m for an experienced forward who has already proven himself in the Premier League. Tottenham have a history of making some of the best deals in the transfer market and this season, the top place goes to Llorente, who will act as a perfect second fiddle for Harry Kane at Tottenham.

Javier Hernandez (West Ham United) – £16m

Finally, former Manchester United star Javier Hernandez makes it to this list. He was in sensational form in the Bundesliga for last two seasons and also spent a year on loan at Real Madrid. He is one of the most natural goal scorers in Europe and will surely be a productive addition to West Ham’s attack. He is yet to settle in completely but once he does, he will be a nightmare for many defenders in England.
