Tottenham’s season has been patchy given the position that the club was sitting in at the turn of the year. They had an outside chance at the Premier League title, with Manchester City and Liverpool only a few points ahead.

It was a chance that Tottenham should have taken advantage of. Injuries and letting Moussa Dembele leave without a replacement cost them points. It’s arguably one of manager Mauricio Pochettino’s biggest mistakes in his career at Tottenham.

With time, however, Pochettino changed his target from the Premier League to the Champions League. They beat Manchester City and Ajax in two incredible games that will probably go down in Champions League history.

While they have reached the Champions League final, the club needs reinforcements in the summer window. It needs to be reinforcements across the board and given the state of the team, it has to be the right players.

One area that the club should be considering adding is a winger. It’s a rare commodity in this day and age but that doesn’t mean that it’s not available. Both, Lucas Moura and Heung-Min Son have transformed into inside forwards.

It leaves the club without a bonafide winger and it’s one of the reasons why the club should make a move for AC Milan star Suso. The Liverpool Echo has reported that Tottenham are keen on a move for the former Liverpool man and given his skill-set, it’s a no-brainer.

A very tricky player, the 25-year-old winger uses his agility and confidence to beat opposition defenders time after time. But more so, it’s his ability in the final third that should attract Tottenham.

Unlike his time at Liverpool, Suso has adapted brilliantly to the Serie A, turning into a creative menace in the Italian top-tier. Not only is the Spaniard among Milan’s best stars but he’s also among their most creative stars.

Tottenham need that kind of player at the club and given Suso’s versatility to play across the front line makes him absolutely perfect for the club.
