Tottenham would be very clever to sign this £15m rising youngster and loan him back again

Why Tottenham should sign Max Aarons from Norwich City

According to a report in Eastern Daily Press, Premier League giants Tottenham Hotspur could test Norwich City’s resolve to hold on to their star Max Aarons by making a £15m bid next month.

As per the report, Spurs have extensively scouted the player during the course of this season, along with other clubs in Europe and German side RB Leipzig. Aarons has been in great form at full-back for the Canaries, helping them to second position in the table and a chance for automatic promotion come the end of this campaign.

The report further states that Norwich could resist any offers coming in for their star player but Tottenham could offer a loan-back option after signing him. That will mean that the 18-year-old will continue to play for Daniel Farke’s men for the rest of this season and join the London club in the summer. Here’s why Spurs should do everything to get this young prodigy:

Aarons is a special talent and deserves a big club call

The teenage English sensation has been splendid this season following some rave reviews about him in his academy days. He is a proper modern-day fullback who can be equally effective at both ends of the pitch.

The 18-year-old is predominantly a right-back but is capable of playing at left-back if required, which is an added advantage any manager would have while managing him. And Farke must be enjoying working with this prodigy.

Aarons has started 18 league games, scoring two goals and supplying three assists, apart from innumerable other things he does on the field. He possesses the frightening pace to make runs forward and is also capable of recovering those forays. He has a pass success rate of over 80%, with a tackle and interception average of 1.8 and 1.2 respectively.

All in all, the 18-year-old is a fantastic talent who will get better in the coming years. Mauricio Pochettino is best when it comes to refining young players and make them world-beaters in a short time. He has done that with many players in the Spurs squad. The Argentine is well capable of making Aarons the next thing in English football.

As far as the squad depth is concerned, Tottenham will get an extra fullback to choose from, which will help them in many aspects in a long season. The best thing to do would be to sign him, send him back on loan to Norwich and get him in the summer.
