The English centre-back is currently on a season-long loan at Derby County.

Tomori’s  brilliant season with the Rams

The 21-year-old has become regular for Frank Lampard’s side, making 46 appearances in the Championship.

And he has been instrumental for the Rams to reach the Playoffs final this season.

Tomori is tied with the Blues until 2021 and has struggled to find a place in the first-team. He also had loan spells at Brighton and Hull City.

The Canadian born footballer was a part of the England national team that won the FIFA U-20 World Cup in 2017.

Derby also have plans of extending the deal for Tomori and it really depends on whether they will play in the Premier League in the next season or not.

The Celts are in need of a defender

The Hoops will run out of defenders after the speculated exit of Dedryck Boyata and Filip Benkovic, though the latter one is likely to extend his loan spell.

Kristoffer Ajer and Jozo Simunovic look the primary options and the addition of Tomori could ease the pressure off  Neil Lennon in the upcoming season.
