Transfer News: Leeds United and Norwich City in transfer battle for Bundesliga sensation

Leeds United News: Leeds United are reportedly in a transfer battle with Norwich City for Bundesliga talent Elvis Rexhbecaj.

The Wolfsburg midfielder is valued at €8m and has been already creating waves in Germany.

The 21-year-old has been a regular for the German outfit this season, playing more than 20 games.

Why Leeds should make a move for Rexhbecaj?

The Whites have let their automatic promotion spot slip away in cheap fashion. And they are now set to play the playoffs.

Kalvin Phillips has been one of the key players for Marcelo Bielsa this season, playing more than 40 games.

The English midfielder has been linked with Southampton (h/t Daily Echo UK) over a potential £20m summer move.

In the event of Leeds failing to secure a spot in the Premier League next season,  Phillips could lend his ears to the approaching clubs.

Given this, Leeds should prepare for his replacement and the German midfielder looks an optimistic choice.

Like Phillips, Rexhebcaj is a central midfielder, who can play as a pivot and a box-to-box midfield role.

The report also states that the Canaries are likely to get the services of the German prospect, owing to the presence of German manager Daniel Farke.

Farke could persuade Rexhebcaj to join his side, which is completely influenced by Bundesliga.
