The Iranian international enters into the final year of his contract and is valued around £4m.

Player stats

Ansarifard,  highly regarded as Iranian’s greatest star of his generation, began his professional career with his country-bound club Saipa, where he broke into people’s eye with stellar displays, scoring 56 goals.

He later played for Tractor Sazi and Osasuna before joining Olympiacos in 2017. He bagged a goal tally of 22 in two seasons and was part of the side that won the Greece Super League in 2016/17.

After signing for Forest this season, Ansarifard has scored two goals and provided four assists across all competitions.

He generally plays as a centre-forward but also can endorse the position of the winger, as he did during his early days at Saipa.

Future plans for Ansarifard at Ibrox

The Gers forward Alfredo Morelos looks the Primary striker for the Gers right now, yet the Colombian’s future at Ibrox is still uncertain. Earlier the 23-year-old commented that he is ready to pay heed to the offers from Europe’s top clubs as he is willing to step up for further challenges.

Jermain Defoe serves as his second-choice but he is bound to Premier league side Bournemouth.
