Transfers – Fabregas Talks About United, Bale Missing From Spurs Training, Mata, Moses And Rooney Updates

The transfer season is in its last phase and everyone is waiting for the big deadline day to come along. At such a moment, rumours and link ups are everywhere and we take our time to jot down the latest transfer stories.

I never wanted to leave: Fabregas.

The Barcelona midfielder who was linked with Manchester United during major parts of the Transfer window has come out and claimed that he wishes to stay at Camp Nou. Cesc Fabregas has reiterated his desire to stay at Barcelona on TVE show Esport Club. Quoted by Skysports, Fabregas said:

“I have never said that I could go, nor have I talked to the president or the coach about it, what I don’t know is how this can be said to be true just because some journalist wrote it on Twitter. My dream is to stay here and succeed.”

Fabregas’ aim now is to impress new Barcelona coach Tata Martino and win a regular place in the Argentinian’s plans for the season.

He added: “I have a great desire to achieve even more and I am committed to this club and proud to be here.”

Bale

Gareth Bale– The Guardian reports that the Welsh International frustrated by the Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy’s refusal thus far to accept Real’s offer of €100m(£86m), has gone missing from Tottenham’s training routine today. Earlier today Daily Mail reported that a staggering fee of £86m has been agreed for the Welsh international between Tottenham and Real Madrid. This is one of the news which has kept the media busy throughout the summer and now it looks like the deal has finally been sealed. Bale would move to the Spanish side for the record transfer fee and would be part of a highly talented midfield comprising the likes of Ronaldo, Di Maria, Ozil, Isco and Kaka. It is believed that the formal announcement of the deal is just a matter of time now.

Juan Mata- Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has hinted that there is a slight possibility of a swap deal involving Wayne Rooney and Juan Mata with Manchester United. The Spanish midfielder has fallen down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge and United are supposedly interested to sign him up. The arrival of Willian has made Mata’s chance of getting into the first team more unlikely. Earlier Mourinho had stated that that Moyes was to be blamed for Rooney’s state of affairs and that Moyes should release him now.

Although latest rumour started by French journalist Julien Laurens, of Le Parisien, is that Mata’s dad was in the director’s box at the Emirates for the Gunners’ clash with Fenerbahce thus sparking a mini-meltdown on Twitter and only to delete it afterwards.

Victor Moses- Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers wants to sign Chelsea midfielder Victor Moses on a season long loan, if Daily Mail is to be believed. Rodgers had intended to sign a top player in the team but till now has had no luck. Thus he wants 22 year old Moses now in his team to strengthen the flanks. Rodgers has stated previously that if he is able to sign a winger, then he would move Phillipe Coutinho to a more central role and with Moses he would look to do exactly that.

Hulk- Daily Mirror says that Tottenham Hotspur are looking to sign Zenit St. Petersburg striker Hulk on a fee of £30m. They would make a bid for the player looking to seal the deal before the deadline day. Spurs have long looked into signing Brazilian Hulk but the deal has not capitalised till now. With receiving a huge sum of money from the Bale transfer and with the Willian deal falling out, Spurs have turned their attention towards Hulk. The other player that Tottenham would be looking to sign without much ado is Erik Lamela and they are reportedly on the verge of making a £26m bid for him to AS Roma.

Yohan Cabaye- Newcastle have sent a message to Arsenal that if they want to sign the French player, they must be prepared to spend £20m. The Gunners had made a £10m bid for Cabaye previously and Newcastle had rejected it without delay. Arsenal are still persistent about making this signing and have been asked by Newcastle to up their bid to double that amount.

Mesut Ozil- According to Sun, Arsenal are ready to spend as much as £38m to sign Real Madrid midfielder Mesut Ozil to improve the quality of their midfield. If Real signs Bale, Ozil’s position would be in doubt in the first team and Gunners want to take advantage of the uncertainty over his future. The German international would be a great addition to the squad and exactly the kind of signing that would make the fans happy.

Wayne Rooney – After quite a bit of everything, Rooney finally entered Old Trafford last night when United played hosts to Chelsea and the England International was cheered heartily by the home supporters despite all the rumours that have been circulating around. And the latest reports from across various dailies is that Wayne Rooney will not be handing in a transfer request at Manchester United.
