Very annoying news about Wilshere, but maybe, after being clobbered like that, the sensible thing is not to play on. It hurts for a reason.

Does that six weeks include the inevitable setback or…?

In all honesty, Wilshere has been far under-par recently. With Kallstrom and Ramsey on their way back, there's not too much of a problem.

Hodgson: "It was an honest challenge but he took a nasty kick and I can only hope he recovers as quickly as possible." #wilshere #afc

Still, Jack Wilshere should look on the bright side: plenty of time to enjoy his Union Jack couch and cushions pic.twitter.com/L7OZgWzjQq

I'm just amazed that the FA were actually able to find a bit of Jack Wilshere's foot, "which has not been previously injured."
