Two Signings That Can Make Tottenham Challenge For The Title Once Again

Tottenham Hotspur failed to lift any silverware yet again last season but their youthful side managed to push Chelsea until late last season and are also into the Champions League for next season. The manager will be looking to make some improvements to certain positions in the squad as he looks to gear up his side for all the challenges that would come their way next season.

They have a pretty strong core at the club but Pochettino is desperate to add some quality to his first team next season. This has seen the club linked with some of the finest stars in world football but who do the Spurs genuinely need this summer? Here are two players, who, if they sign for the Spurs, can lift the club to a historic league title.

Douglas Costa (Bayern Munich)

The Brazilian winger is one of the most exciting players in his position in Europe at the moment. Quick, smart, and equipped with almost all the skills in the book, Costa is a genuine nightmare for a defender on the flank and can walk into even the best teams in Europe.

However, he is unsettled at the Allianz Arena due to lack of game time and is also wanted by Italian giants Juventus. But at his price, he is an affordable option for the Spurs and adding him to their squad can make them genuine title contenders next season. Lack of width was a problem for Tottenham last season but Costa will solve this problem on a long term and is a superb option for Pochettino this summer.

Moussa Dembele (Celtic)

Another player linked with a move to the club recently is Celtic striker Moussa Dembele. The French star is one of the most productive strikers in Europe and has been constantly linked with a move to England. He is a consistent goal scorer and though he cannot walk into the first team next season, he could be the perfect replacement for Harry Kane when needed, making Tottenham all the more dangerous in their attack. Pochettino will look to improve other areas of the squad but the lack of a backup for Kane has hurt them previously and Dembele could solve this problem in an instance.
