Aston Villa Highlights: Aston Villa loanee, Ritchie De Laet scored a stunning goal for Melbourne City FC.

De Laet, the former Manchester United player, has been sensational in the A-League this season, scoring seven goals, switching roles from centre-back to striker.

In the game against Brisbane Roar, the Belgian scored a stunning goal from outside the box .

After easing past the defender, he decided to shoot the ball as soon as he found some space. The ball found the right corner, leaving the goalkeeper clueless.

And the goal might be a contender for the best of the season in the A-League.

De Laet joined the Lions in 2016 and was then loaned to Royal Antwerp and Melbourne the following seasons.

The 30-year-old was part of the Leicester City side which won the Premier League title in 2015-2016.

During his time at Old Trafford, De Laet was a regular for the reserves side, eventually winning the club’s reserve player of the year in 2010.

The Belgian’s contract with Villa is due to expire this season and it’s now on the club, to extend his contract or not.
