Predicted Huddersfield Lineup To Face Tottenham Hotspur In The Premier League

Huddersfield Town face quite a test ahead of them as they get set to travel to the Wembley Stadium on Saturday to face Tottenham Hotspur, who are currently on an unbeaten streak in the Premier League. David Wagner’s men have also put up fine performances against Bournemouth and West Bromwich Albion to seal victories and they will come into this game on a confident note.

However, facing Spurs at their current home ground can prove to be a daunting task and Huddersfield will be keen on ensuring they put up a good show.

Team News

As per early team news, Wagner does not have any fresh injury concerns but he will have to do without long-term absentees Aaron Mooy, Elias Kachunga and Sean Scannell.

Probable Huddersfield XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

Manager: David Wagner

Jonas Lossl (GK)

Lossl continues to be a solid presence for Huddersfield in goal and he will be put to test against the likes of Harry Kane and Christian Eriksen.

Terrence Kongolo (LB)

Although he is primarily a centre-back, Kongolo has done quite well in this role and his presence will be crucial against a sturdy Spurs attack.

Christopher Schindler (CB)

Schindler has been a reliable figure at the heart of the defence for Huddersfield and Wagner is expected to deploy him in his usual role on Saturday.

Mathias Jørgensen

Mathias Jørgensen (CB)

Mathias Jørgensen has partnered him on several occasions and the duo did work well for the club, meaning they are likely to feature together again.

Florent Hadergjonaj (RB)

Hadergjonaj has been one of their most influential players in recent times. Be it attacking or defending, he fulfills duties at both ends with equal gusto and is likely to retain his spot this weekend.

Danny Williams (DM)

In recent times, Williams has been extremely crucial in dictating terms and establishing control in the midfield area. Tottenham have some of the most talented midfielders and Williams will have to be at his best.

Jonathan Hogg (DM)

Hogg is expected to partner him in this role once more and his pace will prove to be crucial on Saturday.

Rajiv van La Parra (LW)

He scored against West Brom and has displayed good form in the last weeks, meaning Wagner should hand him a start.

Steve Mounie

Alex Pritchard (CAM)

Pritchard’s creativity and incisive runs will play a crucial role in unlocking a resilient Tottenham defence. He was impressive in the previous game and Pritchard will be looking to maintain the momentum in this one as well.

Collin Quaner (RW)

Quaner can be lethal with his blinding pace and power in the final third. Hence, the player is expected to start this weekend.

Steve Mounie (CF)

Mounie will be looking to get his name on the scoresheet against Spurs. He has done well in Huddersfield’s recent couple of games and he will have to be at his best.
