Warnock to make 2 changes – Predicted 4-2-3-1 Cardiff line-up to face Nottingham Forest

Predicted Cardiff City Line-up To Face Nottingham Forest In The EFL Championship

Cardiff’s incredible season continues this weekend as they face a mid-table Nottingham Forest side with nothing to play for. Neil Warnock was delighted with his players after their 2-0 victory over Norwich last weekend which put them back in the driving seat for the second automatic promotion place.

Cardiff were never expected to earn promotion and the fact that they have their fate in their own hands with just a few games to go is proof of what a fantastic job Neil Warnock has done. In the last few games, they will have to keep their nerve in order to make it to the promised land and that task starts at Nottingham Forest.

Probable Cardiff City XI

Formation: 4-2-3-1

GK – Neil Etheridge

Etheridge doesn’t quite have the experience or the know-how of some of the big name keepers near the top of the Championship but he has shown throughout this season that he has the ability to compete with the best.

LB – Joe Bennett

Former Villa defender Joe Bennett has been a key part of the Cardiff system all season. He plays it simple and is brilliant defensively.

CB – Sol Bamba

He went off with an injury against Norwich before Neil Warnock confirmed it was not serious. Should start here.

Lee Peltier

CB – Sean Morrison

Man of the Match last time out against Norwich, Sean Morrison is having a fantastic season. He would love to top it off with a promotion.

RB – Lee Peltier

Currently keeping Bruno Ecuele Manga out of the team, the 31-year-old will not have many more opportunities to show his worth for a side going to the Premier League.

CM – Aron Gunnarsson

Having Aron Gunnarsson come back into the side at a vital point in the season has been a big bonus for Neil Warnock and the Cardiff team.

CM – Marko Grujic

Marko Grujic has been a breath of fresh air for Cardiff. Often, loan players struggle to settle at new clubs but Grujic has slotted straight into this team.

Junior Hoilett

LW – Junior Hoilett

Junior Hoilett has matured into an excellent attacking player at this level. He is the creative outlet for his side and is capable of delivering some truly wonderful balls.

CAM – Callum Paterson

The converted full-back is another of the players who has transformed under Neil Warnock. He has the strength to hold off the defenders and the skill to set up and score goals.

RW – Nathaniel Mendez-Laing

The pace of Mendez-Laing is enough to frighten any defenders and he combines speed with strength and trickery.

ST – Gary Madine

The January signing has taken a while to settle at the Cardiff City Stadium but he should keep Kenneth Zohore out of the starting line up this weekend.
