West Bromwich Albion 1-1 Liverpool: Player Ratings For The Reds

Liverpool will have to win the Europa League if they are to take part in European competition next season. The Reds were held to a 1-1 draw away from home by West Bromwich Albion and finished the season in eighth place, they still have the final to look up to but this certainly was not what the supporters expected as their finishing position when the season began.

The game’s first goal was scored by Salomon Rondon before Jordon Ibe equalized in the first half. We look back at the game provide the player ratings for the Liverpool players.

Adam Bogdan – 5/10

Even when Simon Mignolet does not play, his replacements seem to be making mistakes. Bogdan might not have been at fault for the goal, but he did look nervous in the game.

Jon Flanagan – 6/10

Flanagan did not have the best game and seemed a little off the pace against West Brom.

Martin Skrtel – 7/10

Skrtel was probably Liverpool’s best defender, but this could have been his last game for the club.

Lucas Leiva – 7/10

Lucas also did pretty well in defence and who knows? These performances as a center – back could give him more time at the club under Jurgen Klopp.

Brad Smith – 5/10

The Australian did not have the best of games at the Hawthorns. Not only did he struggle, he was also booked for a dive in the first half.

Cameron Brannagan – 6/10

Brannagan didn’t really do much wrong in the game, but didn’t do anything that caught the eye as well.

Kevin Stewart – 5/10

Another player who didn’t have a great game, Stewart does need more time in the playing XI if he is to get better, but at least he got a few games under his belt.

Joe Allen – 6/10

Joe Allen might have played some great games in recent weeks, but this was not his best as he just was not good in midfield for Liverpool against West Brom.

Jordon Ibe – 6/10

One good moment and the rest of the game, he was missing. That is Jordon Ibe in a nutshell for you. He got the goal for Liverpool, but did very little apart from that.

Sheyi Ojo – 6/10

Ojo also had a tough afternoon at the Hawthorns and couldn’t really do much in the game.

Christian Benteke – 5/10

The Belgian striker was not given the service that he would have wanted. Another ok performance, but this could be the end of his career at Liverpool.

Substitutes:

Danny Ings – 6/10

Coming back into the squad after a horrible injury, Danny Ings is back in the team and playing is great news for Liverpool fans.

Jordan Henderson – 6/10

The Captain is back and hopefully he would be fit enough to play in the Europa League final against Sevilla.

Sergio Canos – NA
