West Ham will be a fearsome force in the PL if they can get can snap up one of the Serie A’s best this summer

West Ham opinion: Should the Hammers sign Suso from Milan?

According to a report from Calcio Mercato, West Ham are set to battle it out with fellow London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham for the signing of AC Milan’s Spanish winger, Suso, in the summer transfer window.

The former Liverpool attacker has also attracted interest from La Liga giants Atletico Madrid and it looks like it’s going to be a huge fight to the finish for Milan to keep hold of their star wide-man beyond the end of the window.

The Hammers have already made an incredible statement by announcing the signing of another talented Spanish attacker in Pablo Fornals and Manuel Pellegrini’s side could really turn into a force if they manage to beat the other clubs for Suso in the summer.

The Hammers boast of a really strong squad, with the likes of Felipe Anderson, Marko Arnautovic and Andriy Yarmolenko and with Fornals coming in, their attack looks as deadly as ever.

Suso, after his heroics over the last three years, will not be cheap but West Ham have already proven that they aren’t scared to pull out the chequebook for talented young stars.

After not being able to get a proper run out with Liverpool, Suso has really made a name for himself in the Serie A as one of the best attackers in the league.

The Spaniard has matured a lot in terms of his movement and finishing and he is exactly the type of player who Pellegrini can develop into a world beater.

Suso is highly versatile, having played on both wings as well as in an attacking midfield position so far in his career. The 25-year-old is reaching his peak years and with West Ham’s fluid attacking quartet up front, he could really thrive next season.

The Spaniard’s pace and dribbling skills have proved to be too hot to handle for Serie A defenders over the last few years and he has won a decent amount of games for Milan, all by himself, since his move from Anfield.

Suso, despite not having the best of times last season, ended the campaign with 7 goals and 9 assists in the Italian top-flight and if Pellegrini can fit him into his attacking lineup, he certainly can better that record in the Premier League next season.
