Scout Report – Morgan Rogers

Morgan Rogers is one of the very few young players, who has played in football games beyond his age. He is currently 16 but has been playing for the West Brom U18s and U23s. He has also represented England at the U16 and U17 level.

The teenager is a versatile forward, who can play as an attacking midfielder, left-winger or a right-winger. During the course of the 18/19 season in the youth league, he also operated as a centre-forward and a central midfielder.

He played 24 games in all competitions last season and scored 14 goals and assisted a further seven. In terms of his attributes, Rogers is an astute user of the ball in the final third and doesn’t get dispossessed easily.

He can find those key passes at regular intervals and is good at making decisions in the final third. He doesn’t let go of scoring opportunities in and around the opposition penalty box.

Moreover, his quick turn of pace on the ball and dribbling skills make him difficult to defend against.
