In an exclusive interview with Sky Sports, Bournemouth star Tyrone Mings has revealed that he is loving life with Aston Villa. The 26-year-old is currently on loan at Villa Park, playing a big role in the Championship side’s rise to reach a promotion play-off spot this season.

While he only arrived on the January deadline day, the Englishman has played every game since. Moreover, Mings has proven to become a fan favourite since the move, making waves both on and off the pitch.

This has endured him to the club and it showcases why Aston Villa should really consider making his move permanent. Once the most exciting and promising defender in the country, the 26-year-old has been rocked by injuries.

Two separate injuries have harmed his Cherries career, since making a move in 2015 from Ipswich Town. In fact, given Mings played against Blackburn Rovers, the 26-year-old has now played more minutes for Aston Villa than he managed for Bournemouth.

This further showcases why he needed a new start. For Aston Villa, this is a move that they need. Barring the Bournemouth loanee, the Lions only have James Chester, Tommy Elphick and Micah Richards at their disposal.

Of those three, only Chester has done relatively well, with both Elphick and Richards struggling to make an impact this season. Moreover, they have both Kortney Hause and Axel Tuanzebe at their disposal but both are on loan, with Hause playing more as a right-back.

Mings, on the other hand, has outperformed both his fellow loanees. The Villa boss took a massive risk on the Englishman and it seems to have paid off. His performances have improved day by day and game by game, and all that does is it further emphases why the move should be made permanent.

Given their current status, few players in the world would come as affordable and interested in a move as Tyrone Mings. The youngster has already revealed that he is loving life, which should be treated as a call to action.
