Liverpool splashing £4m on this 20-year-old wonder kid would be the right step towards future

Why Evanilson would be a great futuristic investment for Liverpool

According to Brazilian outlet Netflu (h/t Mirror), Liverpool have made contact with Fluminense’s Brazilian wonderkid Evanilson.

Evanilson, 20, has caught the attention of Liverpool after an impressive performance last season in Brazil’s U20 league, where he emerged as the top scorer. He was on a short loan spell at Slovakian club Samorin, where he scored 3 goals in 6 appearances.

The Brazilian wonderkid has been in a rich vein of form and his goalscoring record had prompted Liverpool to make advancement for the youngster. According to the report, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has confirmed that they would buy a striker in January if youngster Rhian Brewster leaves on loan.

Aston Villa and Swansea are interested in Brewster and if the teenager leaves, it would form a void in the Reds’ attacking ranks. Therefore, Evanilson would be a good choice for Liverpool if they go into the market for a centre-forward.

Liverpool are heavily dependent on their attacking trio of Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino and Mohamed Salah. While Mane and Firmino are consistently performing for the Anfield outfit, Salah has been slightly distracted due to frequent injuries.

Xherdan Shaqiri also suffered from the same issues and he hasn’t featured regularly. Divock Origi is the only proper backup available at Klopp’s disposal. The Belgian has taken his game to the next level after initially being unsuccessful in Liverpool.

In regard to this, Liverpool would have an exciting talent in Evanilson if Klopp decides to move for him. The youngster’s potential has been promising so far. Like most Brazil’s teenagers who join the Premier League, it would be a good step if Evanilson decides to move to England.

Klopp, who is known for nurturing youngsters and moulding them into good players for the future, can also be decisive in Evanilson’s development at the club. The 20-year-old can get to play with the reserve teams and start building his career in England.

Getting used to the conditions in England might be challenging for the South American but it would depend on his determination.

The highly-rated striker would be able to learn from his compatriots Firmino and Fabinho if he decides to leave Brazil for Liverpool. There is no doubt that Evanilson is one of the hottest prospects in Brazil, but he would be recognized only if he makes an impression in the toughest league.

In Liverpool, Evanilson would have all the necessary requirements to develop into a lethal striker. By following the footsteps of his countrymen Jesus Gabriel, Richarlison and many more, he can also prepare himself to compete on the game’s biggest stages.

In Evanilson, Liverpool will have quick and fresh legs who would be ready to lead them whenever required. If he continues to have the manager’s trust, Evanilson can go on to be Liverpool’s player in the future. Therefore, Liverpool have to move for the striker, who could be available for just £4m, according to Brazilian football journalist Robbie Blakely.
