Everton’s striker woes would get solved if they land this hotshot Bundesliga star in the summer

Everton Opinion: Do Everton need Eintracht Frankfurt star Sebastien Haller?

Replacing Romelu Lukaku seems to be an impossible task that Everton have simply given up upon, instead adding wingers to their side. While Richarlison has flourished under Marco Silva’s tutelage, few others haven’t managed to do the same. Cenk Tosun, Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Bernard, and many others have struggled to make an impact.

Hence, Marco Silva must target Eintracht Frankfurt star Sebastien Haller. The Frenchman’s achievements this season have been overshadowed by his teammates Luka Jovic and Ante Rebic, but he’s been brilliant.

This season, he’s scored 12 goals and added a further 9 assists in the Bundesliga, with 5 goals and 3 more assists in the Europa League. That’s at a much better goal-scoring rate than any of Everton’s attackers.

Former Watford star Richarlison has managed 10 goals this season and is Everton’s second highest goal-scorer behind Gylfi Sigurdsson. However, all this simply makes a case for Everton to sign the 24-year-old, and it’s no surprise why.

A tall and physical striker, Haller bears a striking resemblance to Romelu Lukaku but many have compared him to former World Cup winner David Trezeguet (Calicomercato).

With an ability to score and create goals, the Eintracht Frankfurt striker will be the perfect man to play alongside the likes of Richarlison, Bernard and Sigurdsson.

His creative skills and immense work rate makes him close to perfect for Everton, which is exactly what the Toffees need. While they have struggled this season, there have been a few bright spots under Marco Silva.

Everton sit 10th in the Premier League and a European league spot looks out of their reach. Things may get worse, but if the club adds Sebastien Haller next season, the Toffees could challenge for more.

Conclusion

Only 24 years old, the Frenchman has a long career ahead of him and if he keeps playing like this, Everton will profit from his arrival. Not only will Haller’s physicality and aggression help make the transition much easier, but he is also a proven goal-scorer.

More than anything, that’s exactly what Everton need to partner the likes of Richarlison, Sigurdsson and even Bernard. And at the same time, Haller’s presence will help Marco Silva do what he promised the club (Sky Sports), play exciting attacking football.
