Why this £62m sensation should snub Sarri’s Chelsea and join hands with Klopp at Liverpool

Why Christian Pulisic must snub interest from Chelsea to join Liverpool

Liverpool look a far developed and complete side from the one that lost to Real Madrid in the Champions League final. Jurgen Klopp has brought in a number of new players to bolster the squad ahead of the new campaign. The Reds now look ready to compete on all fronts.

However, Klopp has been on the hunt for a new attacking midfielder since Philippe Coutinho left the club. The German recently signed Xherdan Shaqiri, but the Swiss international is expected to slot into the wings.

Now, the manager has reportedly identified £62m-rated Christian Pulisic as the ideal player to fill the void left by Coutinho. His impressive performances for club and country has seen the youngster get linked with Chelsea as well. The Blues could lose Eden Hazard to Real Madrid this summer and they will need a new attacker.

But Liverpool seem more suited for the 19-year-old. Jurgen Klopp would be the ideal manager to help the player realize his full potential. The American would flawlessly fit into the Liverpool all-action football team.

He made a total of 32 appearances in the Bundesliga last season, scoring 4 goals and providing 5 assists in that time. Pulisic is generally deployed as a right-winger but he is also comfortable playing on the left flank, such is his versatility. He can also play in a central attacking role behind the striker.

The 19-year-old possesses impressive dribbling abilities on the ball. He is a devastating forward who poses a constant threat due to his direct runs on the ball. He also links up well with his teammates, often playing short yet quick passes between defenders.

While Chelsea are also in the race for his signature, Pulisic should certainly pick Liverpool over the Blues. He would be a great fit for their high-pressing style of football which involves a lot of running off the ball.
