Why this highly-rated 20-year-old Liverpool starlet could aid Leeds’ promotion push next season

Why Liverpool’s Harry Wilson Can Aid Leeds’ Promotion Push Next Season

Liverpool sensation Harry Wilson has been enjoying a spectacular loan spell with Championship outfit Hull City. Despite being quite talented, Wilson failed to nail down a regular spot for himself in Jurgen Klopp’s first-team but the loan spell has certainly helped him break out of his shell.

The young star has put in some impressive displays with Hull and once his loan ends this season, it is highly likely for Liverpool to send him out on loan once more.

Due to his talent and potential, Klopp might not want to sell him but at the same time, he cannot provide regular game time for Wilson. A winger by trade, the 20-year-old is a skilled attacker but with Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah working wonders for the Reds on either wing, it will be very tough for Wilson to even try and make room for himself in the starting lineup.

Hence, to continue with his growth and development, I assume Liverpool might send him out on loan once more and if that happens, Leeds United could benefit greatly by attempting to sign him.

To further illustrate the point, Wilson recently put in a fine display against Norwich City. Having proven his mettle in the Championship, he could perform wonders for Leeds next season.

Harry Wilson

Although Hull were behind Norwich by two goals, Wilson’s team launched a convincing comeback to win 4-3 and Wilson even scored a goal while also showing brilliant presence and awareness while in the box. In addition to that, his finishing skills are also top-notch.

Given the impact he has made for Hull due to his technique and edge, Wilson could undoubtedly shine in the Championship in the upcoming season as well. Leeds might not secure a promotion this term but next time, they will be looking to launch a stronger attempt at doing so and Wilson can be a brilliant choice to help a team fighting for promotion.

Furthermore, if he can help Leeds achieve something as historic as a promotion to the top-flight, Wilson might have greater chances of breaking into Liverpool’s first-team as well.

Hence, this is a deal that can result in a win-win situation for all parties involved and would also help Wilson in his journey to grow and develop further as a footballer. Paul Heckingbottom will be looking to boost his attacking options up front and from what we have seen, the Liverpool starlet seems like the ideal choice.
