Will This £43million German Superstar Be Enough For Arsenal’s Attack Even Without A New Striker?

Arsenal are in need of adding more attacking options to their current side, as they look to win more titles in the upcoming campaign, with France international Olivier Giroud failing to handle the responsibility of scoring goals all by himself. The Gunners were linked to a number of big money strikers this summer, though none of the deals have gone through so far and Arsene Wenger is still trying his luck in the transfer market.

Recently, one more attacking player who has been linked with the north London side is Wolfsburg’s 22 year old winger, Julian Draxler. There have been claims that a £43m offer has already been made by the Premier League giants for the attacker.

The star was part of Germany’s national team for the Euro 2016 tournament and made five appearances in total, with a goal and an assist to his name. He looked good and must have caught the attention of the French manager with his recent performances in the Bundesliga as well and the manager is trying hard to sign him.

Wenger knows that his team are in need of more quality in his front-line, as titles have been hard to come by and the French manager is quite eager to win the top flight of English football soon.

It’s been more than a decade that the Londoners have now won the league and over the past few years have not done much in the Champions League as well. It is something that the Arsenal main-man will now want to change and a player like Draxler can provide that much needed quality to his attack.

The former Schalke 04 man has made a total of 26 appearances in all competitions for his current side and has scored 6 times, with 5 assists as well. He had joined Wolfsburg from the club’s German rivals back in 2015.

Arsenal have shown that they are keen on pushing through a deal, with some of their other targets snubbing them at the last minute. The young attacker can surely add some much needed stability to the attack, yet it is clear that he can’t really provide enough goals, with the record that he has from last season.

The club are in need of a star who can provide them with 20-25 goals right through the season, which Draxler has unable to do so far. Signing the player will surely a bonus up front, though the attacker will not be enough and Arsenal will have to add more players, even if the deal is done.

Wenger knows the importance of more options up front and the voids that he needs to fill and might possibly consider a fee other options to bring to the club, in the current transfer window.
