Enough is enough: Wolves should part ways with their speed demon and look to find someone better

Wolves opinion: Should Wolves keep Adama Traore?

According to a report from the Birmingham Live, Serie A giants Napoli are interested in signing Wolves’ Adama Traore in the summer. The former La Masia product has failed to have the kind of impact that he would have hoped for.

Wolves have had an incredible season on their return to the Premier League, where they proved to be too hot to handle for a number of teams this campaign. The Wanderers booked their place in the qualifying stages of the Europa League, thanks to a fantastic 7th place finish in the league this season.

Wolves will have to bring in a ton of players to strengthen their thin squad to last the whole campaign in the Premier League and also potentially the Europa League next season.

Nuno Santo will have to work his magic once again in the transfer window but before he focuses on incomings, he will need to address the current issues with his squad.

One player who massively failed to live upto his expectations at the Molineux is Adama Traore. His big money signing from Middlesbrough at the start of the season has been a massive failure just like his time with Boro in the Premier League.

Traore has been all pace and no end product, which has hindered Wolves’ chances of picking up more points in the Premier League this season. The Spaniard has just 1 goal and 1 assist to his name in the league this season, which is a shocking return for someone as talented as him.

On his day, Traore is absolutely unstoppable thanks to his incredible pace and dribbling skills. The 23-year-old has the ability to take on almost every defender in world football and come out successfully but sadly, it hasn’t quite worked out for him in the Premier League.

A move to Napoli would be a brilliant way for the speedy Spanish winger to restart his career and a manager like Carlo Ancelotti could just be the man who can bring the best out of him next season in the Serie A.

Wolves should look to recoup as much money as possible for Traore in the summer and they should use the same to bring in someone who would guarantee a lot more in terms of end product than he has this season.

Conclusion

Adama Traore has clearly failed to fulfil his massive potential in the Premier League and a move away would help restart his career next season.

Wolves should look to have a strong squad as they look to conquer the Europa League next season and the fee they will get from Traore’s sale will certainly help strengthen multiple areas of the squad next season.
