World-class Silva, Unbelievable De Bruyne – The best and the worst rated Man City stars vs Swansea

Full Time: Manchester City 5-0 Swansea City

Manchester City crushed Swansea City 5-0 as a flurry of goals took the Premier League champions to a whopping 90 points in the league table. The Cityzens now have a 14-point lead over second-placed Manchester United and the outcome does not come as a surprise. Going into the fixture, Pep Guardiola’s men were expected to come out victorious and they did so in style.

The scoring was opened by David Silva and a Raheem Sterling screamer followed shortly after. In the second-half, the likes of Kevin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva and Gabriel Jesus scored some fabulous goals to seal all 3 points for the club.

Manchester City Player Ratings

Ederson – 6/10

Besides stopping Alfie Mawson’s effort, Ederson pretty much spent the rest of his time watching his teammates on the other side.

Danilo – 8.5/10

Although Danilo has been used sparingly this season, he never shies away from making an impact. Tonight was no different as he put in a dynamic performance.

Vincent Kompany – 8/10

Kompany’s positional awareness and physicality came in handy as he bullied the Swansea attackers to keep trouble at bay.

Aymeric Laporte – 7.5/10

Laporte’s passes were good and he had a decent game but he still needs to refine his skills a tad bit more to truly reach his potential.

Fabian Delph – 8/10

Set up Sterling’s goal and put in a fabulous defensive display. Definitely one of City’s most promising stars at present.

Kevin De Bruyne – 9.5/10

Is there any end to De Bruyne’s greatness? Although Mohamed Salah has been the talk of the season, De Bruyne deserves equal credit for his incisive and creative performances.

Ilkay Gundogan – 9/10

Gundogan’s improvement is stunning to behold and he put in an influential performance to aid City’s stunning victory.

David Silva – 10/10

Silva’s attacking runs were delightful to watch. He scored the first goal and played a key role in the build-up to the second one as well. City’s best player on the field.

David Silva

Bernardo Silva – 8.5/10

Scored a brilliant goal and he was an energetic performer throughout the game. Silva was calculated and calm.

Gabriel Jesus – 9/10

One of the most hard-working players on the pitch, Jesus was finally rewarded with a goal.

Raheem Sterling – 9.5/10

Provided a crucial assist for Silva and earned the penalty for the fourth goal. Sterling is only going from strength-to-strength this season and that’s reflecting on his displays on the field.

Subs:

Yaya Toure – 7/10

Displayed excellent pace to inject some dynamism.

Phil Foden – 6/10

Made some well-timed runs to aid the attack towards the end of the game.

Benjamin Mendy – 5/10

Looked a tad bit rusty and could not make much of an impact.
