Arsenal ace Mesut Ozil is set to sign a new deal with the Gunners. The Gunners have been involved in negotiations with the player for some time now and if reports from Germany are to be believed then Ozil is set to sign a ‘mega contract’ committing his future at the Emirates.
The deal will see Ozil change his shirt from 11 to 10 and it is obvious that his pay package which was £140000 a week will see an increase.
Arsenal are keen on keeping hold of their key players as the likes of Ozil and Sanchez are important for Arsene Wenger’s squad this season.
Ozil was in impressive form last season with 19 assists and 6 goals to his credit and this time around too he has already found the back of the net twice for the Gunners.
While Sanchez and Ozil are set to sign a new deal, Ozil’s move from 11 to 10 has put Jack Wilshere’s future at the club into uncertainty as the No 10 squad shirt was his before he was loaned to Bournemouth.
