Zidane to make 5 changes – Predicted 4-3-3 Real Madrid line-up to face Juventus

Predicted Real Madrid Line-up To Face Juventus In The Champions League

Real Madrid will look to take a step closer to successfully defend their UEFA Champions League crown when they take on Juventus in the 1st leg of the quarterfinals in Turin on Tuesday night.

Real advanced to the last eight of the competition after a resounding 5-2 aggregate win over Paris Saint-Germain in the last-16 stage. Los Blancos come into the game on the back of an impressive 3-0 win over Las Palmas in the La Liga.

However, facing an in-form Juventus will be a huge challenge for Zinedine Zidane’s men. Nevertheless, the confidence in the Madrid camp will be high, considering that they had beaten the Bianconeri 4-1 in the finals of the competition last season.

Probable Real Madrid XI

Manager: Zinedine Zidane

Formation: 4-3-3

Keylor Navas (GK)

The Costa Rican international doesn’t always get the recognition he deserves for doing a solid job between the sticks, week in week out for Real.

Dani Carvajal (RB)

The academy graduate did not feature in Madrid’s win over Las Palmas on Saturday as he was suspended. Back in contention for selection.

Raphael Varane (CB)

The Frenchman has grown into one of Europe’s best centre-backs in recent years. His pace is a major asset when defending against quick counters.

Sergio Ramos

Sergio Ramos (CB)

The club captain may tend to get a little rash with his decision-making at times. Needs to keep a calm head against Juventus.

Marcelo (LB)

The Brazilian was rested for the weekend’s game against Las Palmas. His marauding runs from left-back are a major attacking outlet for the reigning European champions.

Luka Modric (CM)

One of the best in the world, Luka Modric brings energy and gusto to this Real Madrid side in the middle of the park.

Casemiro (CM)

The Brazilian sits deep and does the dirty work in the midfield, allowing his more attack-minded teammates to flourish.

Toni Kroos (CM)

Another player who was rested for the weekend’s encounter, the German pass master adds a calming influence to the Madrid side.

Cristiano Ronaldo

Gareth Bale (RW)

Stole the show against Las Palmas by grabbing a double in the absence of Cristiano Ronaldo. Will be high on confidence heading into Tuesday’s game.

Karim Benzema (ST)

The French striker hasn’t been prolific in front of goal this season but continues to enjoy the manager’s trust. Scored in the weekend win.

Cristiano Ronaldo (LW)

Real Madrid’s biggest threat in the attack, the Portuguese maverick has had a fine start to the new year and will want to continue the same against Juventus as well.
