Wilder to make no changes – Predicted 3-4-1-2 Sheffield United XI to face Hull City

Predicted Sheffield United line-up to face Hull City in the Championship

Sheffield United welcome Hull City to Bramall Lane this weekend as Chris Wilder hopes to continue his team’s good form in the Championship.

The Blades eased to a 2-0 victory vs Blackburn Rovers in the midweek and will be in high spirits ahead of the weekend clash against Hull City.

The Tigers, meanwhile, are not in good form at the moment and are coming into the game on the back of a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Leeds United.

Team News

Paul Coutts made a return from injury against Blackburn and could find his place on the bench for the weekend encounter.

Probable Sheffield United XI

Formation: 3-4-1-2

Manager: Chris Wilder

Dean Henderson (GK)

Henderson has established himself as United’s No.1 in goal and he should retain his place on Saturday.

Chris Basham (RCB)

Basham is a good passer of the ball and due to his passing ability, he is capable of building attacks from the defence.

John Egan (CB)

Egan is United’s defensive wall, tough for the opposition to breach. He is a sure starter against Hull.

Jack O’Connell (LCB)

O’Connell is an assured presence in United’s three-man backline. Likes to move forward with the ball and create openings for his teammates.

Kieron Freeman (RWB)

Freeman’s influence on the team has increased of late. He is an energetic presence down the right and provides width to his team.

Enda Stevens (LWB)

Stevens is a top crosser of the ball. He is the best wing-back Wilder has got in his squad.

Oliver Norwood

Oliver Norwood (CM)

Norwood has been excellent for the Blades so far this term. He brings the calming influence to the midfield and his presence makes United tick.

John Fleck (CM)

Norwood’s midfield partner, Fleck brings a lot of energy to the team. He is very crucial for Wilder’s side.

Mark Duffy (CAM)

A classy operator on the ball, Duffy is United’s creative hub. He links the midfield with the attack very well with his incisive passing and clever movement.

Billy Sharp (LS)

United’s main source of goals, Sharp is a player oozing with confidence at the moment. After a brace against Blackburn, the skipper will look to get on the scoresheet on Saturday.

David McGoldrick (LS)

McGoldrick has forged a fantastic partnership with Sharp up top. It will be difficult for Hull to keep McGoldrick and his partner in crime quiet.
